About us

Our history

In 1975, Georg Tscherning bought his first excavator. The down payment was DKK 5,000 and the idea was to lease himself and the machine. Business went well and he soon acquired another excavator. This was followed by the purchase of a new excavator each year, and for the first 18 years, Georg made his living almost exclusively by leasing the excavators. But, in 1993, Tscherning A/S also became one of the most respected demolition companies and today the company has one of the largest capacities in this area in Denmark.

Since Georg's son Søren became CEO in 1997, the scope of construction tasks has expanded significantly. Tscherning's approach to the environment, coupled with its thorough preparation, has ensured that the company is among the leaders in the industry when it comes carrying out environmental tasks.

Tscherning has a wide range of different-sized customers and, as they grow, Tscherning continues to develop as well, and always fully complies with the requirements for documenting how work is carried out. As a result, Tscherning is one of the best in the industry when it comes to managing projects and ensuring quality and protecting the environment and working environment. In 2003, Tscherning developed its own management system for quality, environment and working environment, the KMA management system, which complies with all requirements of three ISO and OHSAS certifications in a single working process.
